Urban Football Coaches Association Clinic
ESP’s Everett Glenn joined friend and John Wooten Leadership Award namesake John Wooten at the 20 th Annual Urban Football Coaches Association Clinic. The Clinic was held on May 13-14 at the luxurious JW Marriott Hotel in LA Live and brought together top football coaches from professional and collegiate football organizations across the country to Los Angeles, CA.
On Friday evening, Juan Castillo, Defensive Coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles, Hue Jackson, Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders and the godfather, John Wooten, were honored by the association for their contributions to the game of football.
On Saturday, a host of Division 1 and NFL coaches provided cutting-edge workshops and seminars to high school and other coaches from around the country. Presenters included Colts Offensive Line Coach Ron Prince, UCLA Offensive Coordinator Mike Johnson, Chargers Linebackers Coach Greg Williams, Steelers Running Backs Coach Kirby Wilson, ASU Secondary Coach Greg Burns, and Eagles Defensive Coordinator Juan Castillo. The Clinic also provided a great networking opportunity for coaches and included a product expo.
Over 400 football coaches from 18 States came together during the 2 day UFCA Clinic
The Urban Football Coaches Association is comprised of coaching professionals, teachers, athletic trainers and counselors who are dedicated to creating and maintaining quality academic and athletic programs in and around organized football. Brian Stewart, Defensive Coordinator, University of Houston, serves as President of the association, capably assisted by Martin Ludlow.
